Condition of the Times

There it is bold and bad sitting upon the world

showing its teeth, so proud to be in control.

Someone please let me know who gave you

the right to determine God’s will when you

know not your own?

Give us courage and time to discover

our true being and our true purpose

for even being here. -

Give Thanks!

You think that fear and hurt is a secret

You wrong, girl, can’t hide your shame

It takes over – control of your body,

Your mind and your soul – if you let it.

 Takes different forms

Fat thighs

Unfinished projects

Failed dreams.

Go on, add to the list

Just ain’t no good to fret.

Do what you gotta do –

say thank you Lord And go on –

get busy, do your best.

No Matter

No matter what…

We’ll get through it.

 No matter why…

We’ll be able to understand it.

 No matter where…

We’ll be together during it.

 No matter when…

We’ll be ready for it.

Not expecting anything. Nor demanding everything.

Believing life is simple. Yet complex beyond what’s love.
